Michael Schenker

Michael Schenker, born 10 January 1955 in Sarstedt, is a German hard rock and traditional heavy metal musician and guitarist who was notably a member of UFO, Scorpions and MSG. Michael Schenker has influenced many guitarists in various metal bands, among them Dave Mustaine, Kirk Hammett, Randy Rhoads, John Norum and Yngwie Malmsteen. Over his career, Schenker forged a musical style and playing technique entirely his own. The German guitarist explains that he stopped listening to music very early on so as not to be influenced by others and to follow his own path.
